Chris Smith is a multi-instrumentalist and singer from Traverse City, Michigan who started playing guitar at 12 years old and hasn't put it down since. He is 32 years old and has been a professional musician since he was 22. Chris is a full-time musician in the Traverse City area and has earned high regard as a premier talent as a one-man band solo-act with an amazing sound that mixes sweet sounding vocals, tasty/skilled guitar playing and intricate live-looping that is sure to entertain audiences of all ages. Before getting into music as a full time profession, he spent time after high school with a non-profit, music outreach/education group called The Young Americans and toured extensively in support of arts education for 4 years. During this time, he worked with thousands of young people and adults in 120 different communities and schools around the globe. Aside from music, Chris is an avid runner, cyclist, skier and outdoor enthusiast who tries to take advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings that encompass northern Michigan.
